I am absolutely thrilled to report that, today, I learned that my recent submission to the PPOC (Professional Photographers of Canada) Board of Review for Accreditation was accepted in the category of Children Portrait.  This recognition validates my efforts of the past few years and is a huge first step for me as I strive to improve my photographic skills.  This has also earned me the status of LPPO from the Professional Photographers of Ontario.

I am grateful to Rob Provencher (of Westmount Photography) for being my PPO/PPOC sponsor and co-founder (along with James Hodgins) of the fantastic online photographic community known as NoBS Photosuccess which has and continues to be an invaluable learning resource for me and many others.

Without the support of my wife Shelly, my girls Angie and Gabby and the rest of my family, I could not have achieved any of this… I love you all.  Thank you.

After my birthday dinner tonight we ventured out for some fresh air when I noticed these tall grasses growing near our home. I thought they would make a beautiful prop for a portrait so I managed to coax my tween-aged daughter, Gabriella, to pose for me in the glow of the quickly setting sun. This is the result… exactly what I had been imagining! I hope you enjoy it.
